Port of the Islands

As you drive along scenic U.S. 41, enjoying nature many are surprised to come across the community of Port of the Islands. Started in the 60’s as Remuda Ranch, today Port of the Islands offers waterfront single family luxury homes, single family villas, condos, hotel condos, and lots. Located in the community you’ll find a hotel, ship store and marina with boat launch. You’ll find boat tours offered by private enterprises. The on-site fire station is manned 24/7, and directly across U.S. 41, there’s a gun club and pistol range offering trap, skeet and sporting clays.

Port of the Island is a pet-friendly community with walking/biking pats and swimming pools is know as “The Port,” a friendly and safe community.

Everglades City

Everglades City, formerly known as Everglades and the seat , is located at the mouth of the Barron River, on Chokoloskee Bay and formerly known as county seat of Collier County, Fl. Known as the gateway to the 10 thousand islands, the Everglades City area is great for fishing, paddling, crabbing and of course, eating seafood!

Surrounded by the Everglades National Park, Big Cypress National Preserve and Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park, There are many opportunities for exploring the beauty of the everglades.

Located off SR 92 at the corner of Marco Island Goodland maintains its reputation as a laid back fishing community with charm. Founded in the late 1800’s, the name Goodland was given due to the 40-acre shell mound left by the Calusa Indians that was ideal for growing fruits and vegetables. Goodland reminded isolated until 1938 when a swing bridge was built. By 1949, Goodland changed forever when families from Caxambas settled in Goodland.

Goodland is known for the waterfront restaurants, art and crafts festivals and Sunday Funday, which draw crowds for food, live music and dancing.
